I have a liquid cooling system. Just recently my computer has started turning off by itself when I start to play the Sims 4 for more than 10 mins or run more than one website it will shutdown and restart itself. I have never clean the liquid cooling system and I have had my computer for about 2 years. Could this have something to do with my computer shutting down? Is it overheating or something?

Could be a few things but overheating is a definite possibility.
What are your system specs? Download the free HWMonitor, install and run it. Watch the cpu core temps. If they get into the 90's centigrade then it might be your problem. Check video card gpu temp while your in there. Are the fans on the radiator running? Have you cleaned of dust? Dust can clog the inside fins of the radiator. Get some canned air and blow it through the fans and radiator for any dust buildup. Short bursts. If by liquid cooling you mean Vortex 120, H80, H100, etc then touch the pump mounted to the cpu and see if you can feel it running. Hope this helps. Edited by bprat22 - 09 Jan 2015 at 6:02pm |

It turned out I have one bad ram stick. But I ran a cpu stress stability test and its failing that. So, I'm not sure what that means?
Thank you for your replay!

You're not giving lots of info. The system specs and what tests and faults you're getting helps out.
Are you running the stability test with the bad ram? A bad ram stick will fault out the cpu. It's all related. Do you have the cpu overclocked? If so, adjust the overclock or in Bios load Default to drop oc for now. How are the temps? |
