Thanks! its a razer Krait. i actually like it a lot for RTS games, and its not as wide as other Razer mice which I find more comfortable.
To be honest, I should have done a lot more research on the forums before purchasing my gig but I like to have many apps open and multi-task a lot so I thought 12gb would be nice. |

yea with the ram 8gb is probably as much as you would need. premire and after fx eat up a lot and so does vmware but other than that you don't need too much.
I like keeping things open too bc it reminds me what to do when i leave my computer for school or something but i've been on 4gb ram for a few years and never have needed more (except when i game for enough ram i have to close programs down). but enjoy the rig and didn't know razer made orange mice. thats cool! |

Congrats!
I've been wanting to see some pictures of the Assassin with LC, as most of the pictures I see are air cooled. How's everything running thus far? |

Thank you sir! Everything is running great. There are quite a few fans and the case was designed to have great airflow but even so everything is very quiet. The air purifier in my room is louder than my pc! I believe I'm getting pretty good temperatures with my processor getting to a max of 55 deg C under load and my GPU has not hit 80 deg C. Getting incredible framerates when I run Starcraft 2 :D

Awesome!
If you don't mind my asking, what did Digital Storm take your CPU to via the free overclock? |

Very nice rig you got there! Gotta love those free overclocks. I've bumped mine up a little bit, to just a tad over 4Ghz, but as I know absoluteluhtivaly nothing about overclocking, I haven't gone much further than that. I totally hear you on the sound, my old Dell m1530 laptop, is louder than my new Digital Storm rig. |

Awesome rig
could you take more pictures of the frostchill ? I ordered the stage 3 as well and would like to see more of it, especially in a nice case like yours. |

EDIT: Just updated the pictures so they fit the screen. Also, its hard to tell from the pics but I have UV lighting as well. it looks really cool in person

Nooooo I hadnt seen those yet. Pretty cool but not frostchill.
Im trying to figure out how they place it exactly to plan future components, since the MB is rotated for the fancy assassin case its still hard to tell. But resizing those pics helped alot! Those tubes dont look very reactive to the uv though, or at all. I ordered blue ones, hope they are better suited to the light. Amazing looking rig regardless. |

Actually I think the tubes might not be but the liquid is. so when I look at the liquid container it is reactive to the lighting. i think maybe the blue overpowers the picture but with the lights off there's a good mix of purple (UV) and blue. quite a cool effect!

That sounds pretty nice. I forgot that it is generally just the liquid, but they list the tubes as being reactive on the configurator.
Is it just 1 uv light in there? Looks like there could be 1 near the front but hard to tell exactly. Edited by celariom - 19 Feb 2011 at 12:16am |

oh hrm. just when I thought i figured it out..almost...
i tried for df-85 but they are sold out for 3 weeks so I was forced at gunpoint to switch to HAF-X. From reading other reviews it seems like DS never places the radiator outside the case utilizing the grommets so Im guessing itll go where the rear exhaust 120mm is. I reaaaallly hope they dont mount it in one of the 200mm fan spots at the top. Does it seem like you could easily move any of it around at all without causing a flood? |

ah I see. I haven't really messed around with moving around the components, but its set up really well and don't think I'll have many problems doing so.

If its a 120mm fan, you can ask DS not to install it on the top, so you keep you top fan/s.
