Hey folks,
I just wanted to add my quick review here. I ordered on 01/03/08 and it got here yesterday. (02/01/08) There was a some delay due to not having an internal tv tuner in stock and an inability to OC my graphics card, but nothing major. Out of the box, one of the feet had come unscrewed but otherwise it's perfect. No problems running the comp either. Overall I'm extremely pleased with DS. The customer services was excellent. Many thanks to Dave who I primarily dealt with, but I wanted to extend that thanks to everybody over there at DS. My one little complaint is that the external tuner that they sent me was the Pinnacle PCTV Pro Stick, which retails for a considerable amount less ($30-50) and doesn't have all of the features of the ATI Wonder 650. When I had inquired about which external tuner I would recieve, I was told that it would be an ATI one and was a little more expensive but they'd cover the extra. (Which is true of the ATI Wonder external that I assumed they would send) Not a huge deal, but in an otherwise amazing experience it sticks out as the only not-so-great part. Thanks again guys and I hope you have a great weekend.
Cheers,
Bud

Erg. BSODs. Two of them today. I'm checking out what might be the cause now. Figures they had to start right at my mid-terms when I need my rig.

Here is my suggestions for you, Blood, from my experience.

When I got my rig a couple months ago, I had a few issues with it initialy.  I found that I needed to update my video card's driver, my audio card's driver and download several patches and hot fixs from Microsoft for Vista.  I then did a registry cleaner (CCleaner has a free one on Downloads.com that works great) and ran disk clean up and a disk defrag (that took forever).

Since then it has run like a dream.  Maybe try this and see what happens for you!

Good luck!

Oh man, That yesterday was just the freakin tip of the iceberg. Had at least a dozen since then. I ran memtest with no errors, my temps on the cpu and gpu look fine. I might try resetting the system after I get through midterms. Gah.

Alright. I really want to punt my DS right now. (It would probably break my foot) I'm gonna try and call tech support I guess but I'm so freaking busy during their office hours and they ain't open on the weekends, right? I tried updating all of the drivers, it crashed. Tried the emergency system  reinstall, still crashed. Oh, and btw, did you guys send me the Vista serial #? It didn't ask for it before but now it does. The big bitch BSOD is a BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER (FE), but have also gotten a couple of DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL  (D1) messages.
Any random user advice would be very welcome.
