I have been searching around for a while and trying to decide what to buy for a gaming pc. I was going to go with alienware until my coworker reccomended I check out this site. After just a bit of looking around I learned quickly to config a pc through this site as apposed to alienware. I am ready to buy now and I have set my budget at < $4,000. I want to get a pretty high end system and also go with water cooling. I came up with this configuration at around $3,500 before shipping, but this includes a monitor. I was planning on setting the system up so I can upgrade to a second nvidia gtx 480 within the year or so. Is this a good configuration. I plan on using the system mostly for gaming since I am sick of console gaming. I am asking for advice on here since I cannot get a sales rep from DS to call me back or answer any emails. I have been trying for over a week now. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If you really want to stick to the assassin then thats fine i love how it looks lol
Since you plan on sli'ing in the future, the micro isnt taht great of a choice becasue the max you can put on that board is a sli set up, you cant put anything else in it after that, go with the LE instead. If you dont need the wireless USB N then get rid of it You really dont need a dedicated PhysX card Dont up grade to the LED fans, they are known to be quite loud and annoying Dont do the OS boost, you wont notice a difference and when there is a time taht you needs omethign re enabled you would have a hard time doing it and prolly have to go through DS to do it You should look online for a better monitor for a better price before you look at the monitors by DS, they also come in a different shipping and isnt included in the warranty. What i think is with a system like this, you should just air cool it, the assassin is an awesome air cooler, no need to waste so much money on a LCS when air cooling is right for you. |

I wouldn't worry about getting Dominator ram either. That money could be spent elsewhere. With the money you could save on getting rid of some unnecessary I bet you could go SLI 480s and still come out cheaper.
