We can't help you unless we know want resolution you are gaming at and what your budget is and if the pc is going to be used mainly for gaming or not.

also what not OC? its the cheapest way to get much more power on a budget. its all under warranty. with the oc your cpu should last you at least 8 years.

change the case to haf 922 if you can.

Resolution: Well, I picked a 22 inch monitor so whatever looks best on that I suppose. I didn't want to OC because I'm afraid of power/heat issues. What makes the haf 922 better? I want this to be under $1,500 (not counting monitor), and that puts me over a bit.

922 has much much better airflow, don't worry about the heat, they are not gonna give you a hot pc, they test the systems and temps have to be within acceptable range before they send it out, so you got nothing to worry about, oc is for people on budget first and foremost.

do what you can, if you can wait a few month and come back with a bit more money then that would be the best idea.

I second this. The problem is that with that budget you're scraping the bottom of the barrel and you have to sacrifice a lot of important things to get it that low. If you can save up even just a few hundred more you can select a lot more bang for the buck parts.

We just hate to send someone off with a suboptimal configuration at $1500 when for just $1800-2000 they could of had a much more superior computer, you know?
