Hi all, I've come in to some money at the time I need to replace my old XP gaming PC. I'm looking to do high end gaming for 3+ years, as well as some machinima and Audio work, so while this might be overkill for today's games, it needs to last.

I'm looking to spend between 5k and 6k, and will attach a 30" monitor.
I'm mainly concerned/confused about the cooling and power options.

Let me know what you think! Thanks! :)

I would wait for the 5 series and the 300 series if i were you. They have Dx11 support and will be even faster.

the 300 series won't come out this end of this year if that, if by 5 series you mean i5 then that is a step down not up.

By 5 series I think he was referring to ATI's 5800. The 5800 is 6 weeks from finish, and then 6 weeks NDA. From what a little birdy told me. Q1 for 300 just paper launch end of this year, from a different birdy. Smile
