I'm replacing a rig that's about 8 years old.
This new system is primarily for gaming Aces High and IL-2 Sturmovik

This is what I have in my cart as of now based on reading the forums. I welcome all advice possible.

My budget is $3000 excluding monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Hello Keith1952...
So your 30" Dell monitor is a 2560 x 1600 (2K) 60hz.
This config will slay all in 1080P gaming.. The RTX 2070 is an excellent do it all well pick to game at this res.

Processor is top notch and it's equal to the more expensive i9-9900X in gaming.   Top line mobo.

You have ample cooling with the Corsair H100i 240mm for the i7-9700k to be overclocked... Suggest you consider at least doing the Free Stage 1 OC, and Stage 2 would be even better!    Intel K class CPU's are made by Intel to be overclocked, so get all the performance out of that excellent CPU you are paying for.

The Corsair LL fans would be a higher quality choice, and ML are top of line.   You download and use Corsairs iCue software to control all your Corsair RGB colors.

Very nice build as is...
