Okay so I got my DSO Rig, beautifully built, heavy as all get out. Box came nice and non-damaged.
Forgive me for pictures as I'm an idiot when it comes to uploading pics but here they are.
I'm amazed at how cool this thing is, the air coming out the back is even cold. My only complaint is the case door, which i removed to inspect parts and make sure everything was nice and tight. Tried putting the door on and I think it took me about 3 hours HAHA. Other than tearing down my Alienware and moving it for my wife to use and installing the DS machine into the network and linking up sharing files and all that jazz the computer runs flawless. I even downloaded 2 games at once and installed a 3rd game and it just breezed along.
Thanks to the community for helping in the configuration, the support as I fumed over Fed Ex and to DS for a beautiful system (btw my wife now wants one although a little less powerful ) .

That is part of the cathode lighting kit. A fine loooking system, and a darned sight better pictures than I have ever been able to take. |

I held out for a long time too. Years too long really. I just didn't know where to get my hands on something amazing for a price that wouldn't get me beat to death by my ever lovin' wife. I found this place, and they haven't been able to get rid of me since.Part of the fun for me, was plotting out exactly what my build should be, and what upgrade path I wanted to take over the course of the next year. One fine day, you'll be looking at that configuration page, realize you've been good to the folks around you, and you deserve to indulge yourself a little bit,, and the next thing you know, your cursor will be hovering over that "purchase now" button. Then, a few short weeks later, you'll be feeling that cardboard, and the weight of pure gaming heaven, giddy as a schoolboy at his first dance with a girl...
Alright, maybe that was just me that made his wife listen to the new system over the phone after the first power up (true story ). Could be it'll happen another way, but this is the place to be if you're in the market. It's always a good time to buy a new PC. Cool stuff is always coming out, so waiting doesn't hurt a bit. It just deprives you of days you could have spent relaxing in front of a killer system.

I hear you Tyler...my 6 yr old p4 Dell system just can't handle anything any more and the gaming experience has really gone down hill. When you have to play a game and the settings are turned so low that it looks like stick figures it's just not as enjoyable I've only got about another month at most of holding out left I think maybe a week if I keep seeing posts like this Sorry to hijack the thread...
Now back to your regularly scheduled adoration of Slicer's new toy

So just a little update, I went and downloaded the 10GB Warhammer Patch while I was downloading Combat Arms and installing COD4 all at the same time and it just breezed along. Finished the Singleplayer COD4 yesterday, awesome game. Having only played in 1024 resolution before, gaming at 1680 or whatever is a true different experience. The LG 22" widescreen is a beautiful monitor. I've had zero problems with vista, the computer or anything. I'm extremely happy and I am amazed at how cool this system is, I had a computer tech out to my house to do some network setup and tweaking to my wireless security and he even remarked he couldn't believe how cool the air coming out the back and through the vent was, the case is just awesome (just put up a tutorial on how to get the doors back on cause they are a Pain in the a$$.

I also went to service.futuremark.com/resultComparison....compareResultType=14 this is a site our guild was using several months ago to compare our systems to see if they could run Warhammer, my previous Alienware that was 6 years old scored a 300 LOL. My new system 17,900, so I'm extremely happy to be on something current and with full ability to just play the new games to the best of their ability in my resolution.

Hey Slicer,
How do you like that LG screen? I was thinking of buying the 24''. How are the viewing angles, brightness? Overall, how would you rate it for gaming?
Awesome rig btw!
