Yes the noctua is good enough for that level of OC

Thank you guys for the fast reply, because I was reading through some of the guides and I was just wondering if the 120mm fans can help my processor last, because I hope to use this computer for a long while heheStrong

yes, even overclocked your processor should be healthy for at least 4 years under a noctua, and you can always tune down the overclock to increase that time, or just ask DSO to not go over 3.5 (or whatever) which is still a good range

over 3.7 it becomes more about bragging than productivity, unless you are doing lots of processor specific things, like rendering movies or compiling data.. not gaming or office type work

I mainly use it for gaming and watch movie and other normal activities. I want to ask even when the processor is OC'ed it is still on automatic?? Meaning it will only go up when I turn on things that require higher power? Also, does the computer come with the program that I can use to tune down the OC if I choose to? Another thing I heard is in order to maintain a stable processor, keep the voltage of the cores at or under 1.2V is optimal, is there anyway that I can set the voltage of the comp so that is doesn't go over? Sorry I'm very new to this and thanks a lot for all the help

The clock speed stays at the OCed clock speed and will not go up or down. For your motherboard it will come with EVGA E-LEET program that allows you to do that.

Yes you can set the voltage the bios. I don't know about the optimal voltage since each cpu is slightly different some may require higher or lower voltage to be stable. Although if you are going to overclock the processor, depending on how much you are going to overclock it and the processor the voltage needed to be stable may be higher than 1.2V. For example my i7 930 overclocked to 3.9 need a voltage of 1.365 for it to be stable.

goodman dso can handle all of this for you, but you dont need your overclock tuned down when you arent using it, the idle power draw of overclocked vs not overclocked is not something to be concerned about, and you want the best power out of your build
turning up and down your overclock isnt something i'd advise, just ask that DSO overclock conservatively for you if this is a concern of yours

Ah I see, you guys are so helpful and some times when I try to look for the answers through search engine and within the forum I don't always get the exact answers. I have full trust for DSO and I'll be super happy if my desktop can last for 4-5 years and I will definitely be buying more things from DSO for years to come hehe. I just want to say everyone here is the BEST!!!!

I told DS I would be happy with 3.6 if it extended the life of the processor. The system came in at 3.591 and very stable. That is good enough for me.
