Sorry for posting here, But it would not let me post in the review section. First let me just say I really don't care for Fed Ex,Their tracking system sucks. So she arrived here today, What a great feeling to see that truck pulling up and knowing whats inside.
 
Inspected the box and she had no visible signs of a rough trip. After opening the box its was just like what i have read on these's forum's "Perfect". I removed the beast from her box, Removed all the packing material's hooked her up, I checked the Ram and video cards just to make sure nothing came loose during the trip, I Turned on the power and bam nothing. The screen came up like she was booting up and then nothing. I then had this real sick feeling in my stomach. It was 11am est so I had to wait an hour till DS opened.
 
12:05 the call was made and i got Renee from tech support. Let me just say I have read all about how you guy's have said DS has great Tech support. It was no lie. Renee had me try a couple of diffrent things and he narrowed it down to something wrong in the Bios. A little over an hour later the rig was up and running.
 
I just want to say thanks to everyone i have dealt with at DS it's been a real pleasure and also to everyone who post here on these forum's, Because without you guy's I might of not picked DS to build my rig.
 
Give me a couple of day's and i'll try to post pics.c

I love it when Digital Storm saves the day when things are looking like a nightmare is going to happen.  Having followed the forum here for months, I know things are always going to turn out to the customer's satisfaction.  But that doesn't make the concern a customer feels during a problem any easier.  Reading the forums give hope and reassurance to those people considering going with Digital Storm.  For me it was simply the great service and post-sale support that was verifiable via their forum.

Stkhouse, what did you notice was off on FedEx tracking?  And how long did it take to get from California to east coast?  My computer shipped on Feb 23rd..initially it said it would arrive this Saturday the 28th, but when I updated the tracking just now, it had only made it to Reno, NV so far and now wouldnt be here to NYC until March 3rd....and the weight is only 18 pounds on the tracking site which is really, really wierd.

Mine shipped on the 18th and the estimated delivery date was the 24th. Now I know things happen, But the tracking still said it was on time and mine also said it was in Reno NV. So i emailed them and the response i recieved was it will be there by end of business day. At 4pm i checked again and it said it just arrived in NJ and it will be delivered the next day. OK no big deal but when you take off of work expecting it to be there because they said it would it tick's you off.

One question I have, the problem was the "bios"? How so, just wondering how the bios fails from working fine at the factory then, shipped and now not working did anyone offer an explaination on that? Just curious.....

I know that the BIOS CMOS reset is right next to the PS2 Keyboard port on the back.  I almost hit the button on the MB when I was moving the PC around to get it in position.   I guess a BIOS CMOS reset that is external is great for OC issues etc but it is in a position that you could hit it accidently while hooking up stuff to your new PC.
 
Anyhow I love my new PC and it has been great to play all games at max for an intense gaming experience!

My guess is that he originally thought something in the BIOS was wrong, but they actually discovered something else wrong while debugging. Perhaps package x-ray machines corrupted the boot files and they had to be restored?

On my own machine, I actually had to use an ink pen to push that BIOS reset button. It wouldn't be that easy to press accidentally. Maybe they changed that in the revision of the motherboard that I received?

I'd also like to take this opportunity to say ShockedFedExShocked sucks. But maybe I'm biased for some reason. Smile

He didn't even review the PC yet. Yea, I'm wondering about the BIOS as well.
