The HW Monitor program recorded the following MAX temps:

CPU: 45C
AUX: 29C

Intel Quad

Core 0: 55C

Core 1: 46C

Core 2: 47C

Core 3: 49C

Geforce GTX 280 Core: 41C

The CPU Fans are running at 2410 and 743 without any manipulation on my part.  Anything anyone can let me know about what these numbers mean in terms of cooling performance?

Sounds Pretty average for air cooling to me. You do not mention the CPU, those temps would be warm for my 9450... but depending on the CPU may be average. They are certainly not in the danger zone for an intel quad core.

The GPU temp is fine way under max....

are these temps under load or at idle?

I would assume IDLE.

And yes, they are perfectly in-line.

Warm Regards,
Alex

Idle temps don't matter, you need to leave HW Monitor on then play your games for a few hours then come back and show us what HW said your max temp was
