Think I’m going to remove the OS boost and Overclock. The liquid cooling I definitely want for visuals.

Note that the processor you have is now obsolete. The I9-12900 Alder Lake is now available.
Also the RAM and motherboard need upgrades to the newer ones. Edited by Nomad1970 - 27 Oct 2021 at 9:10pm |

Good call!
Correct -- unless you crave petty bragging rights. CPU and motherboard manufacturers do extremely well nowadays pushing components to the (safe and reliable) limits. To give you an idea (the rig in my signature): UserBenchmarks: Gaming 279%, Desktop 115%, Workstation 279% AI Overclock is set to Auto, XMP II/2.0 enabled for the RAM In full disclosure, I don't know how their tests/algorithms work. So, I am unsure if the monitor being only 1080p (connected to a 3090) is accounted for. The monitor, noted in the benchmark report but not obvious, is an Acer ED320QR S. I haven't upgraded to a 4K model yet. It has been a difficult decision. |

Great spot/catch! Also good work by DS being right on top of the release. @AlphaFX: With what @Nomad1970 said, you may want to strongly consider something such as: Config #: 4148442 |

I agree wholeheartedly with my friends! Get the "instant upgrade" MrCheetah is recommending. What a break you're getting with this timing!
@Nomad: I might have taken a day or two to even notice this breakthrough. Many thanks for being on the ball, and shouting out! |

The pc makers got their supply before it comes out to the consumer. Intel is trying to make us forget the 11 series chips. We'll see how the 12s do.

My only beef with the Velox case is the motherboard is mounted upside down because its open on the right side. Any text on items such video card will be upside-down

Ahh, but the heat from the gpu gets sucked up by the top fans and does not pass over the cpu! I like the upside down position. Like Snaike always states: That's why there's vanilla and chocolate. |

Indeed.
Agreed, inverted/reverse ATX is the best layout for non-water cooled graphics cards. Even with OCPD, I'd be willing to deal with upside down labels/logos for the operational improvements. Some people aren't, and that's okay -- see above. |

Love my Velox. Upside down letters on the GPU don't bother me. Runs so cool and quite. With the AIO DS dual fan water cooler for the CPU, everything runs just that much cooler.
I am sold on the Velox! |

When the gpu(s) is(are) positioned upside down you get to see the best part of the hardware. Even on HydroCoppers you get to see through the clear water block. You'd think that the gpu mfg would put the best part on top but ....you only get to see it upside down! lol

You are going to love it! And horserator is right, I do like the fact that I actually see the x3 fans on my GPU kick on when I am running a game. |

My favorite feature of the Velox is how quiet it is. It has five 140mm fans than can push high volumes of air with a low fan speed, plus one 120mm fan in the rear. I have mine set to keep the fan speeds at 800 RPM until the GPU temp exceeds 70C. It rarely hits that temperature, so the machine hardly makes any noise.

My 12 year old Digital Storm is in a Cooler Master HAF 932 case that always kept the old beast pretty cool. The Velox seems like it will be a cool running case too. Just need the new computer to hurry up and get here.

This took me forever to make a decision. I even made it to stage 3 with my first posted build and caved. I went with the alder lake i7 and DDR5
