Hi INSjester.   Welcome to the forums.

That is a awesome rig you put together.  It certainly meets the Shock and Awe factor.

If you want to save some money, and who doesn't,  I would suggest dropping the ram to the DS 16GB 1600Mhx sticks and save $166.  You'll never see the difference with the other unless you want to oc the ram , or do ram intense apps like Lightroom, video editing, etc.

Drop to Win Pro, unless you do languages or there is something unique with Ultimate you need.  Saving is another $48.

Drop the Noise reduction package for another $79 saved.  With the side window cut, the noise reduction is pointless i would think.

The added fans , cut in the side  window and Fan control aren't needed with water cooling, but if its for eye candy then why not?  Nothing wrong with a great running and looking pc if the budget allows.

Increase overclocking to stage 2.  The rig can handle it.

Seems like a ton of storage, but you know what you need.

Another $300 saving would be to go with the 3820, 4 core cpu insteaf the 6 core 3930k chip.  For gaming, the 4 core 3820 cpu is all you need.  The 3930k is usefull for the ram intense apps like I stated for the ram sticks.  Nothing wrong with the 3930k chip, just a way to save a few bucks.

Hope this helps and As-IS, the rig you put together is great.

Best of luck.  Big%20Smile

Almost forgot. Oops   Grab the free t-shirt.   It's the law. Big%20Smile

Hi INSjester,

bprat22 gave you some very good advise. His comment on the two side fans is right on. This is an option for Air cooling the GPUs. Since you are using stage 6 LC you don't need this option. It will just add more noise. With the side window there is not much noise damping they can add. If the fans are hooked up to the fan controller then you don't need DS to optimize fan speeds. Ask DS specifically if all of the fans are hooked up to the fan controller. I don't think the RAD fans are. So you will only be controlling a couple of fans, maybe?

Great build.

Frank
