Hey all,
I'm looking to purchase a new desktop....i'm tired of getting pwned by gaming on my laptop:) I play basically COD4/5/L4D. My investment is approx. $2500.00. I have read the forums and most say build your own...don't buy the prebuilt systems due to lack of upgrade abilities in the future. My only caveat is that I would want it to have a blueray so I can hook it to my TV.
Any suggestions on the build would be greatly appreciated...when I do it...it ends up totaling 3500-4000 dream machine.
Thanks in advance,
Tim

All we need now is resolution of your monitor, then we can show you an awesome build for around $2500. |

I plan on using my 40in LCD TV (Samsung 120hz)....that is why I want blue ray to watch movies. Do you think this will be ok for gaming or should I look into an investment of a monitor too?
How much is a wifi card installed. I have wireless and if I don't want to run a wire all the way to my room unless its completely necessary.
This looks great!!!

Maj_Lagg, you have come to the right place for a gaming PC. DST4ME, Kryhavoc, and Onkel_Ken all helped me with my beast.
I also play COD games. When I got my DS rig (similar to the one DST is showing you) my clan kept calling me a hack because I went from a rank of15 to number 1 in 3 months thanks to my new PC and my great skills, lol. Just so you know my new rig has not had one problem since I got it, when I need a new one I will be getting it from this great company. Once you get your new rig come and play on our servers so my clan will understand that a good gaming rig can make all the difference. Good Luck |

I see where you have a 30 day money back gurantee...Is there a restocking fee?? Who pays for the return? Is this a no questions asked money back guarantee? I ask only because if I can't see a reasonable difference in game play...then I feel like I wasted my money. I am currently playing on my laptop w/ a 9600 GT card. I get pwned alot...but at times...I do some pwning too.
Just curious before I make this purchase.
Oh...one final question...would it be better to update the card to 1-295 rather than 2-275's?

I can only speak for the cards. No, it would not be better to go with 1-295 over 2-275. Stick with the 2-275.

I believe there is a restocking fee.
when you say no reasonable difference game play, comparing to what? are you comparing to your laptop? if so then I have a few questions: 1. how can you compare a laptop to a 24" monitor? it takes a lot more GPU power to run a 24" at high settings then it does a laptop screen. 2. 2 x 275 can run games on high settings at 1900 x 1200, so not sure what difference there is to look at. |

Ok. DST4ME...You are speaking above my computer knowledge. I have a laptop w/ 18" screen that I game with at 800x600. I'm sure that as soon as I get it...it will show up this laptop...but will it be a real noticable difference???
Other than the video card...what is the difference between this and the special you are running Digital Storm Desktop 147772?

well Maj, your laptop has a res of 800x600, your 40" tv has a res of 1900 x 1200, that is a much higer res, which means lot more details/clarity, so right there you should notice a huge difference, tho I'm not sure if a tv is the best monitor to game at.
I didn't understand you second question, what is "Desktop 147772" ? |

that one is ok but if you are looking to game on high settings at 1900 x 1200, that won't do, you need 2 gpus for that resolution.

Well...I'm getting very disappointed...I can't seem to get in contact w/ some one at the office. I've read post about this...now it's kinda worrying me...I haven't left a message...but I've called and keep getting pulled into the answering machine....Need to have an option to stay on the line...and possibly telling how long of a wait...
My 2 cents
