Looking for new computer.

Budget: around $3,000 (+/- $500 for computer alone)

Expectations: A fast system for work and gaming. I run numerous applications simultaneously, including database, excel, image editing, HD video content, word processor, internet programs, etc. I also want to run MOH, COD, Bf3, and other first person shooter games at max settings.

Resolution: 2x 27” monitors 1920 x1080

Also what’s the most reliable SSD?

Thanks to all who help!

when you say "2 x 27" @ 1920 x 1080, are you gonna be gaming across both or just one?

x79 is about $500 more then p67/68 has the newest 6 core cpu which helps in everything else but gaming.

p67/68 is that much less then x79, great quad core.

which would you like to go toward? they should both be within your budget.

Looks great, thanks. Will 8GB of ram be sufficient to run all business applications simultaneously?

If you are not doing heavy duty media editing you should be fine but feel free to ask for 16GB if you think you need it for the apps.
