Do you think this rig would be in need of water cooling, or is stage 3 enough?

If you are going to pay for an extreme chip, I assume you'll be overclocking it? Water cooling will give you an advantage in overclocking headroom over air cooling. I would, given the amount of money you'll already have into that system, go for the improved cooling.

ya get water cooling, and OC the ram so you will get the fan for it

Im thinking of getting a similar rig, would water cooling be needed for the dual video cards or just the processor?

we normally go with just the CPU but if the cards you are getting are gonna be one of those that gets real hot then you may want to talk to DS and see what they advise.

no one needs watercooling... But, if you're going to overclock, it is highly recommended.  We prefer to NOT overclock GPU chips unless they're watercooled.

somebody in the other thread said that ATI cards get pretty hot without OC.
