Need Help [ 2000 Budget ] Gaming PC

 

 

Ultimate Goal : Ideally I want to purchase a system that I will not HAVE TO upgrade to play the games of the future (next 3 years or so). My motto is "I want the nest NOW that slowly degrades overtime yet however is not a crap system in a few years requiring upgrades)

 

Games to be played : Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2, Battlefield BC 2, and various new games that are coming out in the near future. (New Star Wars, BF 3, Crysis etc)

 

Desired Resolution: 1900x1200

 

Video card -  **EDITED** Recent research shows the 5970 to be extremely hot and not worth the money, so I'm considering all options.

 

Processor - I think the i7 920 is a better processor for my goals however DSO doet not allow me to add it to a config (that or I havent figured it out yet)

 

Hard Drive - Now I'd really like to get a SSD simply because of the obvious, but the current price again pushes me away.  (I currently have a 1TB external that I keep music and such on)

 

 

Also I'm not on ATI or NVIDA's side, however by researching the benchmarks and the bang for your buck, ATI seems to be dominating the current Video Card world.

This is all you NEED.

You can up the power supply to 1000W if you want to go crossfire, but by that time, I'm betting there is better tech out.

You could up the  warranty to 2/4 for $99.

 You could get the Caviar Black for a few more bucks.

You could go over budget by a few and get the Intel 80 gig SSD.  NO other SSD is recommended here for your budget, Intel or nothing.
