Sad but true….

To whom it may concern,

Up until till yesterday, I couldn’t have been happier with my Digital Storm desktop powerhouse.

My Digital Storm Mother Board stopped working, EVGA P55 FTW - PART NUMBER: 132-LF-E657-KR

Error Boot code “EA”, Black screen, can’t even get into Bios Setup.

I realize this is not really a digital Storm problem, but since I bought my system from them, I would certainly think their relationship the EVGA will help resolve my problem rather swiftly, as I miss my system terribly.

Otherwise as an enthusiastic, I just plugged it in and left everything stock, I mean after all, why mess with perfection?

Purchase Date – 10/19/2009

Order Number -

Configuration ID – 165609

Serial Number –

I know I can count on Digital Storm to resolve this problem so that we all come to a mutually satisfying solution.

Sincerely,

Brian K. Rote

Thank you DST4ME,

Serial number and build number are now removed as requested.

I have an idea, why don’t you just ship me your very nice system to use in the meantime, while I tinker with mine as I continue groping for a solution?

Yeah I know, in my dreams… Excited

Thanks, after work tonight I’ll pull one stick out and see what happens.

This isn’t supposed to happen to a nice guy like me, I’m a turnkey kind of guy, and hence I bought an assembled and extremely well tested system from a reputable manufacturer with a platinum build and customer service reputation.

Yes, I know my may around the inside of a computer, but had preferred not to ever have to do that sort of thing, especially with such a high end build that was tested to such extremes by a well known and respected manufacturer.

Again, this is not a Digital Storm problem; it’s an EVGA Mother Board problem, and or ram failure problem.

Ok, peering in through my HAF 932 case window pull the ram stick on the right side first, yes?

Thank everyone for all the help I can get towards resolving this problem.Frustrated

Sincerely,

Brian K Rote

LOL I just got my case, so nobody is getting it anytime soon, lol.

With pcs, the higher-end you go, the moodier the parts get, lol.

ram failuier is very common, and no matter how much you test, you can never figure when a psu/ram/hdd/etc is gonna go bad.

you open the right side of the case (that has the fan and window) and then you remove the ram sticks, we want to test all 3, one at a time, if you can't get to bios tho, it can be psu or mobo.

always make sure you unplug the pc from the wall and no lights are on the mobo before you start to change things around.

Dear DST4ME,

I followed your instructions to a T.

Truly, you are either Psychic, or a computer God.

In any case, reinserting the RAM did the trick; everything is back to normal as though the problem never existed at all.

I can’t thank you enough; I was thinking the worst, like pack up the whole system and UPS it back to Digital Storm for an expensive out of warranty repair.

I did call and inform Digital Storm to cancel my support ticket as someone called DST4ME on their community forums resolved the problem for me in less than 24-hours. Cool

Again, thank you so much for your clear and precise instructions that resulted in resolving my computer problem immediately.

Have a Great Day and keep on farming!

Sincerely,

Brian K. Rote Big%20Smile
