I'm trying to choose between at two monitors right now.  I will be getting two of them to start and eventually be purchasing a third to run on my new setup.  I'm trying to keep the cost down since the desktop ate up all of the original budget for desktop and monitors lol.

1st

2nd
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ITORITU/ref=psdc_1292115011_t3_B00ITORJRQ

I like the resolution on the 1st but the 2nd has a 1ms response vs 4ms on the first.

I'll respond so you don't think we don't care Hahaha......until others chime in.....I haven't done any recent monitor searches, being happy with my Dell U2311H from over 4 years ago.     Tons to choose from and when I am ready for new, will pull my hair out trying to decide.  Big%20Smile

Oh, wait, I already pulled my hair out.  Hahaha

Others might help ya.

I'd recommend the Dell S2716DG, awesome 27" monitor, 1ms refresh rate, 1440 resolution and 144hz. I'm loving mine! BTW, very very thin bezel, screen goes almost all the way to the edge, this would be a perfect choice for multi monitor set-up.

Good luck with your search.

Yeah my only issue atm is the cost of that monitor since I spent so much on the rig.  I'm thinking the 25" IPS at 1440.  The reviews I read have been pretty good (except for not being able to mount it to anything).  The price is hard to beat at $254.

I totally understand, I just ordered a new system myself so I know how that can cramp one's style a bit. Sure does seem a shame though, not to take full advantage of all that new hardware with a decent monitor... Kinda like buying a Ferrari and not taking it over 30mph. JHMO!

Yeah, cant beat that price! I paid around $600 for mine through Amazon, a bit pricey but well worth it I think. It did make a big difference to my KDR, I really noticed an increase when I started using it and it makes gaming a lot prettier and smoother. Now that I have my new rig and the new monitor, I'm unstoppable!

Personally, I would go for the monitor with higher resolution. The 4ms response time is still fantastic.

I'm a particular fan of this monitor after CES this year...

Yeah I went for the higher resolution monitor for now. Hard the beat the $254 price tag. I will just wait and see what this year's black Friday brings
