Hey guys,
I was looking over configurations, and I need help deciding on which rig I should get. I am going to use it for MMO gaming mostly, (Warhammer Online) and when Diablo 3/Fallout 3 come out for those as well.

Now, here are the specs on comp build 1.

CPU: Q9450 @2.66
MB: 750i
RAM: 2GB DDR2 @1066mhz
HDD: 500GB WD@7200 rpm
GPU: 2x 8800GT
OS: XP Pro
PSU: 750W
Now, with that hardware, and overclocked I can get it for $2096.00

Build #2

CPU: E8600 @3.33
MB: Intel P45 (1600mhz)
RAM: 2GB DDR2 @ 800mhz
HDD: 500GB @7200
GPU: GTX 280 extreme edition @700mhz
OS: Vista Ultimate 64bit
PSU: 850w
This one is not overclocked, but I get it for $1,858.00

Please, let me know which ya'll think is better.

I think you have the good stuff spread across both builds =\

I'd take

Q9550 (higher multiplier and it's the same price as Q9450)
4GB DDR2 (speed.. up to u)
Radeon HD4870 (if you playing at 1900x1200+, get another.)
Vista Premium 64
750W or 850W psu.. (up to u again)

just a fyi.. warhammer online has known issues with SLI. and you seriously do want 4gb of ram for MMOs.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

Q9450 and as skyr said, go with 4GB of ram.

Cool thanks guys, the RAM is a easy upgrade :) Not sure if I will upgrade the vid card, I will have to see after WAR comes out (hopefully they fix the SLI issue before mid-October so when I get back to the states it works fine :)
