I currently own a 65" Samsung TV and am on the verge of upgrading to a 75" set.

I will start by saying that I have a pretty loose budget, so just about any 4K TV is fair game. LED or OLED doesn't matter per se. I do want to stick to around 75" though.

A couple TVs that seem to top most recommendation lists are the LG C1 and the Sony X95J. It seems like the C1 is the top pick, though it is recommended for darker rooms. My living room has a big bay window that lets in sunshine during the day, so it would only be dark at night or if I draw the curtains during the day. I am also concerned about possible burn-in because I am an avid gamer (PS5). It is common for me to put in sessions of 4-6 hours either late at night or on a weekend, so I worry that static HUD elements would start to leave a mark. The X95J, while maybe not as nice as the C1, seems to be less at risk for burn-in since it's LED. However, I have also read that the X95J is known for an issue with DSE.

Ultimately I want the best TV I can get for PS5 gaming and movie watching. Does anyone have any insight as to which TV I should lean toward? Or maybe another TV that should be getting my attention?

Like you, I tend not to trust the burn-in situation with OLEDs. You can be careful, but if it ever should occur, your investment is ruined.

A bit over a year ago, I bought the Samsung 75" QN90, and I've never regretted it. It may be a an upgraded model by now, but the price has come down a little from when I bought it Xmas 2020. I have a lot of light coming in from a row of sliding doors on the right side of the room, but the picture remains bright. The 75" size is just about perfect. I bought online from Best Buy and set it up myself because...Covid. I got a $200 gift card from them.

77” LG C1 is the top tv of 2021 and can be had at a discount now that the C2s are coming out. I have the 2020 version (CX) and it’s AMAZING. Incredible picture for movies, gaming, you name it.

I have an LG OLED I bought in 2016. I have no burn in, no problems at all.
