I would recommend uninstalling the game, reinstalling it, and then download and install all of the game updates. That might help.

Ensure you have the latest graphic card and sound drivers.

I would also do a quick memory test on your system (boot off the supplied MemTest86+ CD) when you turn on your system, and let it run for about 3 hours.
