I use my computer to play games online. So all my stuff I have it in External hard drives that way the computer doesn't slow down. All I have in the internal drive of the computer is the operaing system and the games i play. But when I play i still have lag. Anybody can tell why and any advice as to what to buy to make the lag go away.

Its a AMD Phenom 9500 Quad -Core Processor with 3072 memory an a 720GB Hard drive. It has NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT Graphics cards and its running Windows Vista with service pack 2

Its a new computer and it lags in game when I exchange bullets with another player even though my ping is always low

it says 1440 by 900 pixels and its using 60 hertz

Yes sounds ugly, the 8500 is not a powerful card, it is low end at this point in time.
Problem here is based on the hardware you mention I would guess your Power Supply is not terribly high wattage. Do you know how big your PSU is. Upgrading the graphics card is easy, but if you have a weak power supply it severely restricts your graphics card options. The Graphics card is one of the most power hungry parts of a PC. Dave |
