Just got my ODE Level 3 delivered - I'm SO excited to try it out. I had everything ready - including my 32" 1080p tv-as-monitor - but I'm having trouble getting anything to display. I tried HDMI to HDMI first and nothing displayed (went through tv settings and tried all HDMI as well as PC just in case) so I thought maybe I needed to check the settings. Plugged in an old monitor so I could at least check to see if the rig was working and I still get no display. What am I missing? [;)]

I'm starting to think my actual problem is that I have no video output. I checked inside the box, everything seems secure... what now?

Hi abbyc....it sounds like your plugged into the motherboards hdmi integrated built in graphics port and not the gtx570. Hook hdmi to the top graphic cards hdmi and not the hdmi that's next to the audio..vga and usb connectors. You might need a mini hdmi to hdmi adapter.

Thank you for the advice - tried it, still no dice :( Since we already tried the regular monitor cable into an old monitor and that didn't work I think it's more than just the HDMI that's the problem... I feel like I'm overlooking an easy fix here

The blue vga is part of the integrated graphics built into the motherboard and shouldn't be used. I still think you're hooking to wrong connector. The motherboard ports and hdmi and vga connectors are arranged vertically as you face back of pc. The graphic cards like your gtx 570 ports are arranged horizontally and side hy side. I think the 570 has a mini hdmi then two dvi ports next to each other. Those are the ones you need to use. Go to the mobo manual and look at the back panel ports like audio and the hdmi and vga it shows. Those you can' t use because you have graphic cards. I might be wrong in what your hooking to but it does make sense.

Naw it's a regular HDMI on the 570. I did try it. I just spent some time on the phone with support - the CPU LED light on the motherboard was on, basically meaning I have to send the damn thing back because the shippers weren't careful.

Sorry to hear that. I was really hoping it was a simple connection problem which we have seen. DS will fix it. Best of luck.

Thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time to try to help me out!
I also am not mad at DS... they've been so great, I'm absolutely sure this one can be completely chalked up to terrible FedEx employees and a very very long cross country trip. I'm mostly just really disappointed because I was so excited for this and now I've got another month or so to wait :( |

I'm not second guessing DS ...they reaaly know their stuff but did they have you check to make sure the 24 pin connector on the side of motherboard and the 6 or 8 pin conn on the top left are seated tight? Still hoping it' s a simple fix.

When I checked the connections inside everything seemed nice and tight. I have it all repackaged and boxed up now and I really don't want to dig it out again :(

It could be a loose video card or memory stick. Have we had you try to re-seat those items, or, were you not comfortable doing that?

Also, try removing the SLI bridge connector, a loose one can cause the video not to show up. You have two video cards in SLI, have you tried all four output ports on the video cards? It's the big black DVI connectors, and if you need a VGA based one, you can convert the DVI to VGA with a dongle that was supplied in the accessories box. ![]() |
