Just a few thoughts.  I would probably go with an Intel chip as they are just better performing chips right now.  AMD has been a bit behind the times in this area.

If you aren't overclocking at all you could knock your RAM down to the 800mhz OCZ.

Unless you are doing a lot of CD/DVD copying I don't see the need for 2 drives and would go for 1 but if you do and like the ease go for it.

Drop the Stage 3 cooling to Stage 2 as the HAF case is already a (High Air Flow) case.

You are going to need a 64bit OS if you are going to use all that memory in your computer.  I'd suggest Vista Home Premium 64bit.

The monitor you could search for and buy separately and save yourself a few bucks.

If youre using the AMD chip to save some cash, then I HIGHLY recommend if you wanna save cash to just get a Core 2 Duo Processor like an E8400 or E8500.

If your pinching pennies as well..i highly recommend as well that you change out the dual 4850s and instead just get a single 4870. Your monitor you selected will max rez at i believe 1650x1200 or somewhere around there i forget...but its mid range resolutions. So a single high end card should be more efficent and should give solid framerates for a long time. The savings is around 60-70 bucks. I HIGHLY doubt youll find the need to add a second card especially another 4870 and by then the prices for those will probably be fairly cheapo. Though as harleyman says you may want to ask about a PS for dual 4870s as it may require more juice then the 750W should i want to add a second one later.

I can say this from experience...just cause i had money to blow at the time, i bought a second GTX 280 and for a short time i had a 3rd one.. Even one of them is more then enough for EVERY game out there right now on my 28'' monitor. The second one is almost completely useless in almost all situations, there is only one game where the FPS was below a point where it got somewhat hard to play, and that was Crysis at 1900x1200 rez and high everything. That was and still is the only game right now where having the second card made a noticable difference. You arnt gonna notice the difference from 70FPS to say...105FPS in games...youre eye just wont see it. So i recommend you do some homework and make sure you really need dual cards.

When i doubt always try to go for the biggest single card. Dual cards are nice only as stopgap between getting a more expensive single card. Plus a single card IMHO equals a much more stable computer.

prices could be cheaper next month due to a new chip coming out

in the next few month, you should get a veloci raptor adn use that as HDD1 and the current 500GB as HDD2.

HDD1 is for os/apps/games, HDD2 is for media/personal files.

you can also add a second 260 gtx down teh road if you think you need more gpu power

not true, the 4870x2 shows its difference only when going above 1680 x 1050, below that, there is not much difference, but the price and the heat, it does produce more of those then the GTX models.

Having two video cards will produce about the same heat if not more due to more airflow restriction.

I would highly recommend the 4870x2.
