Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and thought this was the best place to ask my questions. My last computer was ordered 5-6 years ago and it broke about a year ago and I started looking at new systems but I'm lost; since when I was getting that computer my AMD 64 was pretty damn good, and now CPUs have 6-Cores rofl.

So right now I've got one specced out but I'd appreciate any and all input.

CPU - Intel i7 950 3.06 Ghz Quad-Core

Video Card - GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB

RAM - 6GB DDR3 1600


Those are the basics. Should I be sticking with intel and nvidia or go to AMD and ATI? How is the CPU, card and RAM?

I'm looking to play Battlefield 3 when it comes out, CoD:BO, Homefront, L4D2, and Silent Hunter 5. Will this handle those on high graphics or no? Should I change something? Thanks again for input

I recommend posting in the 'Configuration Discussion' area. Also, make sure you post your budget on how much your trying to spend, and also if possible, what monitor resolution you play at too.
