Need help with Gaming Rig

We need to know the res first, without knowing it there is no way to figure out how much power you need and give you the best bang for the buck.

right now the build would be a 2600K build.

1. turbo will never match oc.

2. your mobo has no limits till tri sli so what gpu is no issue, what gpu you get is dependent on what you need to run at what res.

Your build has issues.

instead of putting money toward things that don't matter like ram, when need to put it toward things that do matter like psu brand.

HDD1 = fast small drive: os/apps/games

HDD2 = regular large drive: media/personal/work file storage

the 40GB you chose its not enough at all, win7 takes 20GB itself, that barely leaves room for apps let along games. Also that is the old model, right now for that price you can get better with the new model. If you want a ssd it needs to be around 120GB.

I got your new res from your last post, thats why I said "to run bf3 at your new res, you gonna want sli 570."

Response time is a bs number, its there to fool you and does not represent the true response time of the monitor, there is no real way of truly finding what response time is, the closest to it is white to white but you don't see that, you see grey to grey or black to black cause they give small numbers to fool users but they don't mean anything, there are different methods to get these numbers and each will give a different number as results, therefore you can even compare one to the other.

Most important thing about a monitor is its panel, right now there are 2 major ones, TN and IPS, IPS has superior picture quality/clarity.

but don't buy it at full price it goes on sale for $270 or $250, so buy it then, if its in the budget of course.


I would go with deluxe over sabertooth, its a better mobo and much easier to work with.

I don't undetstand why you want to pay more then my config, there is nothing you can do to make my config better so I don't understand why your are getting $3150 or what you are doing that is making it cost more with inferior parts like the sabertooth, unless I'm misunderstanding something.

In short why are you not using my config? I'm just wondering since there is nothing to add to make it better and it costs less then what you just quoted. Keep in mind, if you don't see it in my build its because it will not be noticed performance-wise, you will only notice it in your bank account.

Channing the mobo will not allow you to go sli, you need a 1000w corsair psu and sli mobo to go sli.
