Hey all,
From what i can tell, my 8800 Ultra bit the dust yesterday (Bought my DS in Feb 2008). The PC boots in safe mode, but there are blue lines that cover across the whole screen. It doesn't even boot up in regular mode as i get the blue screen nvlddmkm error and it attempts to reboot itself. Anyways ... good reason to upgrade! Anyone have any suggestions for a good card? I've budgeted $500 for a replacement. I'm not partial to either Nvidia or ATI. So far the one i've been looking at is the GTX 295 ... my PC specs are below. Thanks in advance! Case: Digital Storm 750Si (Black Anodized Aluminum Finish) Power Supply: 750W Corsair HX (Dual SLI Compatible) Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz (1066MHz FSB) (8MB Cache) Motherboard: nVidia 680i LT Core 2 Quad (By: eVGA) (nForce 680i SLI) Memory: 4GB DDR2 Corsair at 800MHz XMS2 (Dual Channel) |

if you got it in 2008, didn't you get a 3 year warranty? if yes then you should be covered under warranty.

So, in order to get a 3yr warranty i would have had to register with EVGA within the first 30 days. Since in never did that, It defaults to only 1 year. Lesson learned in that story
All EVGA Products purchased ON or AFTER November 1, 2006 MUST be registered within 30 days from ORIGINAL DATE OF PURCHASE to receive our 3 Year year warranty. (All products not registered within 30 days will ONLY receive a 1 year limited warranty.) http://www.evga.com/support/warranty/ |

If you got your pc from DS, then I think you had a 3 year warranty from DS.
