Need software recommendations to use with Vista 64

Hoping to get some recommendations for software that will work with Vista 64. Here is some of software that I think I need to replace.

Nero 6 CD/DVD burning program (great program but I've read that it does not work with Vista64 and the new Nero products are severely bloated)

PowerDesk Pro (it's a file management program I've used since Win 95, fairly simple interface for the non-technical like myself, but much easier/intuitive to use than Windows Explorer)


Any recommendations? Free is always good.... Ouch
