Hello All,
I'm looking to get a gaming rig and I have a max budget of about $3500. I'm looking to have a system that can run even the most taxing game at max settings and still look great. (I.E. Crysis) Obviously the less I spend of my budget the better but non the less I can go up that high. I already have the Asus 25.5 montior and the logitech g15 keyboard and z5500 sound system in mind from Newegg but this is outside of the system budget. So if any of the experts here can help me out that would be great. Also, I'll take suggestions on the three other items I mentioned here as well. Thanks.

Thanks DST. Just one question though. Would there be a performance boost if I did 2 x 150gb velociraptors in raid 0 instead of the 300gb velociraptors?

In games no, because games go off seek time and I believe a single veloci has a better seek.
One bad thing about raid 0 is the rate of failure.. in the event of failure, you would lose all your data.

What Dsnewb210 says is true, no point in raid really, go with the veloci soon there will be SSDs faster then anything

Sounds good guys. Thanks. Any opinions on the monitor I mentioned above? I've never had an LCD before and I keep hearing how they don't perform as well as crts for gaming. Will the monitor I picked be ok?

not sure about your monitor, you should post a thread in the hardware section and see if anybody knows about it.
