Hey guys, first off, this computer isn't for me, I'm trying to find a price for someone I know.  He was going to buy a computer from IBP for about 5.6k, but I told him two things. 

1.  A 5.6k computer is really overkill and not really necessary unless you really want it.  I suggested something more like a $2000-$3000 computer, and then spending the rest of the money on other things (monitor, speakers, etc).

2.  If he has that much money to spend, he should spend it here.

So if you guys could help me out, what would you suggest for him to get, considering how much money he is willing to fork out.

EDIT: Just realized I posted this in Hardware Discussion, I meant to post it in the Configuration forum :/.
