Topic: Network adapter Posted: 23 Jul 2020 at 2:33pm |
I just bought an aventum X in january and everything has been great.
I was playing a Steam game yesterday. Everything was fine, logged in as usual. When I exited the game I noticed that I no longer had internet access. When I did a little exploring, I was given an error message that the adapter drivers could not be found. I also got an error message that the network adapter was not present. So, what happened that suddenly my network adapter and drivers are just gone within the span of an hour with no unusual activity? I don't get it. I can't find any specs on the adapter to download a new driver and the specs I received with the computer are kind of vague. The only thing I can think of is to try to log in to my account to find the specs on my order history and try to get the drivers online. I have contacted tech support and am currently awaiting a response. I just got my PC at the end of January so I am surprised to see a malfunction like this. Any ideas? Suggestions are welcome. |

Sorry about the issues. Go to Control Panel>Device Manager>Network Adapters>_____depending on mobo this is where you will find it/them. Also check on your mobo manual to see what the specs are. In mine it is in the first pages - Summary>LAN or Wireless / Bluetooth That will tell you what you have.

Yeah I did the device manager thing. I see that everything is working properly and the proper, updated drivers are installed. Then I get error messages that say the drivers are missing and the network adapter is not present.
After some thought, I THINK that when my PC was being built, I received a message saying the standard network adapter was not available so I was getting an upgrade. I dunno about this upgrade. Thanks for the info. |

The network adapter you are talking about, is it part of the mobo or a separate card? Best bet is DS tech support. There might be software instead of hardware issues causing the problem. They'll fix you up. Keep us posted and good luck.
