So the rumor is is that intel is releasing the new 45 nm chips in January.  Has anyone else heard/verified this?  Codenamed wolfdale, the newest core 2 top line model is the E8500, with a fsb of 1333, 6mb cache, and clocked at 3.16 Ghz.  Some lucky reviewers were able to get their hands on an engineering sample.  They were able to overclock from stock speed to 4.7 Ghz on an air cooler.  I guess we shall see soon if this is true.

Alex, you guys need to have some forums titled "New Hardware Releases" and "New Software Releases".  There is so much redundant info here in these forums that doesn't get seen by newbies coming to your site.  See if you can drill down some specific titles here so people can go directly to these great and resourceful posts.

Let these topics be a place where all the current links and info can be posted about when and where the latest and greatest products are going to hit the stores, floors and shores.

Wolfdale will be released in January and Yorkfield in March.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

nvidia 680i Core 2 Quad(A1)
2Gb Corsair Dominator 1066 Mhz
