Are the next generation of video cards (the 9800 GX2 etc...) going to be backwards compatible with the 680i boards?
and if so, can someone explain to me if the card's full potential will be used with the 680i boards, or will they run better with the 780i? Thanks |

Yes. PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatible with PCI-E 1.1.
There's no difference... if there is, it's just very very small. |
