We noticed that our customers want to know more about their systems before they arrive. Such as, temperatures, overclock speeds and settings, and even driver versions.
We listened to our customers requests and now you have it. Starting on Monday, all orders that ship will include testing results via email after their unit passes "Stage 7 - Quality Assurance."
If you've ordered overclocking for the cpu, memory, or video card(s), we will include results for you.
Here is an example:
------------------------------
Processor Temperatures
Idle: Overnight Load: Overclocked Processor Settings
Processor Speed GHz: CPU Multiplier: Voltage CPU VCore: VDroop Control: i7 - BCLK MHz: i7 - Voltage QPI\DRAM: i7 - Voltage QPI\PLL: i7 - Voltage CPU VTT: i7 - Voltage IOH Vcore: i7 - Voltage ICH Vcore: i7 - Voltage IOH/ICH I/O: i7 - PWM Frequency: 780i/790i - Memory Clock Mode: 780i/790i - CPU FSB MHz: 780i/790i - Voltage FSB: 780i/790i - Voltage SPP: 780i/790i - Voltage MCP: Overclocked Memory Settings Memory Speed MHz: Voltage Memory (i7 - Dimm Voltage): Timings (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS): i7 - Voltage DRAM Bus: 780i/790i - Memory Clock Mode: 780i/790i - CPU FSB MHz: Overclocked Video Card Settings: Core MHz: Memory MHz: Shader MHz: Motherboard BIOS:

Now, I do want to state, that, please do not judge and compare each other's temperatures. There are multiple factors that play into each unit:
1. The cooling system
2. The type of chassis
3. The hardware inside (the configuration)
4. The batch of the CPU, etc
In the end, the unit has been tested and certified by us to be stable at those settings. Never the less, a unit running at 70'C or 88'C will have the same performance and stability.
I figure I clarify this up firsthand. Edited by Alex - 24 Feb 2009 at 8:51pm |

Yea i was thinking this could be a side effect, people wil compare with others and wonder why their CPU or whatever is running 2C more or whatnot and feel they arnt getting "the best" =P |

This is great news to see!
I can't wait to see the numbers on my own machine build! You guys rock! ![]() Just a side question: If temps are really important, can somebody call and ask to lower the overclock to get better temps after getting that email, or do they need to specify lower temps when it is ordered? Will there be a way to specify a priority on temps vs speed on the order page? I'm just tossing out ideas. For some reason, I'm sensitive to CPU temperatures now. ![]() (Of course, none of this helps when FedEx drops the machine so hard that the cooler comes loose. Then, you don't figure it out until you have already used the machine for an hour at 100+c while downloading programs and temp-checking utilities. Talk about sudden panic!) |

Honestly, if your temps are lower than 88'C, you are fine [overclocked and under extreme test by a utility]. We rather try to maximize the performance of your unit so you get a stable, blazingly fast unit.
It's not as if, your unit reaches 88'C under game play, etc. The testing applications give it a very high stress-test which average use will not transfer over to the CPU.
However, it is also, no problem if someone wants a set temperature and we can base the overclock etc upon it as well. But, it hasn't been a popular request as of yet.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread; I have 2 questions regarding this. Maybe some people who have ordered LC systems can help.
1. Is this overclocking and stress testing done with the liquid cooling setup in place (assuming it was ordered), or just the stock cooling? 2. If you order a liquid cooling setup, is the system filled with liquid when it is delivered? Or is it flushed before shipping and you need to fill it up before booting up for the first time? Thanks! |

The stress test your system no matter what cooling option you select.
The system is delivered with fluid and is ready to go.
