I just joined the forums and just placed an order yesterday for a new Aventum X. I have listed the build below but I would love any feedback from anyone on suggestions or changes. I didn't actually realize there are several motherboard options so I may try to upgrade the MB here in the next few days since I just placed the order yesterday.
Also, I keep seeing different images of Aventum machines with copper tubing that is bent and curved instead of with fittings. And I have heard here on the forums that the hardline tubing now DOES have quick release option. I went with the flexible to avoid some issues down the road with upgrading, ease of part changes, reducing chance of leaks, etc. But I obviously would like the hardline better, especially with no fittings and bent acrylic tubes or copper. I am not a computer builder by any means but I can change a MB or video card or RAM. I was also thinking about getting the hydrolux cooling for 2 GPUs plus the CPU instead of just one GPU just for in the future when I might want a second video card. Although this may not be possible if you only get one GPU on the initial build but try to order the hydrolux for 2 GPUs. The website allows it though. But I can't really afford a second GPU right now, especially since only the 3090 is offered as such with two cards. Also, I see some builds where the water block for the dual GPU is black instead of a clear acrylic. Even the pics on the website show this. I just think the acrylic water block for the dual GPU setup looks awesome and I know I would never be actually shipping this thing back to DS for upgrades. So if I want to do any upgrades I pretty much need to be able to do them myself. If I ever want to add a second video card I would want it liquid cooled so I would want that setup to be in the inital build if that makes sense. This is just going to be for gaming and I don't push things to the edge with overclocking or anything. I like turning up the graphics as much as I reasonably can but I am just a casual gamer. Anyway, here it is: Chassis Model: Aventum X Exterior Finish: Exotic Paint Finish - Storm Blue Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i9-10900K (5.3 GHz Turbo) (20-Thread) (10-Core) 3.7 Ghz Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z490-P / MSI Z490-A Pro (Intel Z490 Chipset) (Up to 2x PCI-E Devices) (No SLI Support) System Memory: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz Corsair Dominator Platinum DHX (Extreme-Performance) Power Supply: 1200W Silverstone / EVGA / Thermaltake (Modular) (80 Plus Gold) Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Optical Drive: - No Thanks Storage Set 1: 1x SSD M.2 (500GB Seagate FireCuda 520) (NVM Express) (Gen4 PCIe) Storage Set 2: 1x SSD M.2 (2TB Seagate FireCuda 520) (NVM Express) (Gen4 PCIe) Storage Set 3: - No Thanks RAID Config: - No Thanks RAID Card: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Graphics Card(s): 1x GeForce RTX 3080 10GB (Performance Edition) (VR Ready) Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio Add On Card: - No Thanks Extreme Cooling: H20: HydroLux PRO: Exotic Custom Cooling System (1x Graphics Card + CPU) HydroLux Tubing Style: Flexible Tubing (Requires HydroLux Liquid Cooling System) HydroLux Fluid Color: Clear Fluid + Clear Tubing (Requires HydroLux Liquid Cooling System) Cable Management: Exotic Cable Management - White - (Cable Combs with Custom Color Sleeved Extension Cables) Chassis Fans: Corsair LL Series (RGB Fans) (Software Controlled Effects) (14 Fans Total) Internal Lighting: Remote Controlled Advanced LED Lighting System (Multiple RGB Color Modes) Airflow Control: Corsair Commander PRO Management Control Board & Software (3x Boards) Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks CPU Boost: Stock Factory Turbo Boost Advanced Automatic Overclocking Graphics: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) OS Boost: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Professional (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: USB Drive - Windows 10 Installation (Format and Clean Install) Virus Protection: Windows Defender Antivirus (Built-in to Windows 10) Office: - No Thanks Mouse Pad: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks Branded Gear: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 20-25 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Care with 4 Year Limited Warranty (4 Year Labor & 2 Year Part Replacement) Thanks, Spleens. |

Strange post. The 10900K has not been available here for at least a year. 490 mobos are obsolete. You can still get an 11900K, but the Alder Lakes have been for sale for 5 weeks. There has not been a custom paint option for quite awhile. Corsair dominator is not available, and the Corsair LL fans aren't either.
If there's a point here, I've missed it.

That is because it is a spammer's trick to get a post past the initial checks and come back later to edit in their spam. This post is a direct copy of this post from a year ago. One of the things that makes it very easy to spot these is, as you have pointed out, they are 'strange posts' made with outdated components. I've left the post up for reference and education, but have taken the necessary steps to assure that this account won't be back to edit this post. Good catch Cretae.

Thanks, Snaike.
It's not the first one I've seen like this, but I've never been clear on what they're for. Thanks for the info. Should I continue to just note the obsolete references to avoid confusion here, or is it better I say nothing?

If something seems fishy, say something please. Sometimes I don't catch the older tech, etc. and I would always use the extra set of intelligent eyes.
