Hello Everyone
I'm Planning to buy my second DS Machine (get my first with an Aventun 1 case) This time I want to buy a computer mostly for use with Octane Render and DAZ3 Studio. But Also playing with some 4k games, my monitor is a 34" Ultra wide Curved Screen Samsung. I have this configuration, but my dubs are if I'm spending too much money at things that probably don't see any difference. Another question that pop is what should I choose 2 Titan X or 2 GTX 1080 Thanks in advance Pablo Configuration Code: 1482127 Total Price with Instant Savings: $11,052.00 Direct Load URL: https://www.digitalstorm.com/ Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Aventum 3 (BACKORDERED ETA Early September) Exterior Finish: Exotic Paint Finish - Storm Blue (3-4 Week Extra Lead Time) Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition 6950X 3.0GHz (10-Core) (Extreme Performance) Motherboard: ASUS X99 RAMPAGE V EDITION 10 (Intel X99 Chipset) (Up to 4x PCI-E Devices) (RGB Lighting) System Memory: 32GB DDR4 2666MHz Corsair Dominator Platinum DHX (Extreme-Performance) Power Supply: 1500W Corsair AX1500i (Digitally Controlled Power) Expansion Bay: Option Not Available Optical Drive: Blu-Ray Player/DVD Writer (Play Blu-Ray and Burn DVDs) (Internal) Storage Set 1: 1x SSD mini-SAS (1.2TB Intel 750 Series) (2.5 inch - NVM Express) (Extreme Performance)
Storage Set 2: 2x Storage (6TB Seagate)
Storage Set 3: 2x Storage (6TB Seagate) RAID Config: - No Thanks RAID Card: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Graphics Card(s): 2x SLI Dual (GeForce GTX 1080 8GB (NVIDIA Founders Edition) (VR Ready)
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Zx (Includes Audio Control Module) HPC Processor: - No Thanks Extreme Cooling: H20: HydroLux PRO: Exotic Custom Cooling System (2x Graphics Cards + CPU) HydroLux Tubing Style: Copper Tubing (Requires HydroLux PRO Custom Liquid Cooling System) HydroLux Fluid Color: Blue Fluid (Requires HydroLux Liquid Cooling System) Cable Management: Exotic Cable Management - Blue - (Cable Combs with Custom Color Sleeved Extension Cables) Chassis Fans: Corsair LED Airflow Performance Edition (Blue) (Up to 6 Fans) Internal Lighting: Digital Storm RGB LED Lighting System (Requires Thermal Management Control Board & Software) Airflow Control: Digital Storm Thermal Management Control Board & Software Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: Noise Suppression Package Stage 2 (Optimized Airflow & Fan Speeds with Noise Dampening Material) LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 1: Overclock CPU - Up to 4.4GHz (Depends on Cooling and Motherboard) Boost Graphics Card(s): - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Windows Recovery Toolkit (Bundled with Windows CD) Virus Protection: FREE: McAfee AntiVirus Plus (1 Year Service Activation Card) (Not Pre-installed) ($35 Value) Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks Branded Gear: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 15-20 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Care with 4 Year Limited Warranty (4 Year Labor & 2 Year Part Replacement) |

I would go with different drive than the seagate. Having said that for Octane Render titan pascal will be the best choice so may want to switch to those. Edited by DST4ME - 01 Sep 2016 at 4:21pm |

Very similar to my build except I went 6850k. M.2 950 pro + 1gb 850 Evo X 2 in raid 0 for data drive.

For Octane Render titan pascal will be the best choice so may want to switch to those. so a few other changes:
Click Image To Go To Configuration Page Bit of info: 1. Do not install Mcafee , instead get a lighter better anti virus like ESET ( number 3 on the list ) Or any other good light Anti Virus will do. 2. With extra fans request that DS changes all case fans and connects all your fans to the mobo so you can control them via free software. This way we can control the fans without needing anything else (aka fan controller and etc). 3. The warranty here is 3 year labor and 1 year parts so if you want higher part warranty be sure to raise the warranty level to the desired level. |

My pleasure
mobo = motherboard Octane does the best with titans based on the benches/tests I have seen. SSD is a much better choice IMHO 850 evo/pro would be the ones to go with. |

My pleasure looks nice, if you can get your part warranty for as long as you plan on keeping the gpus. Now we recommend gpu change every 2 to 3 years, so if you gonna keep them for 3 years for example then go with 3 year part warranty.
Otherwise it looks great. dont forget to pick your raid options |

Depends on what you want.
Raid 0 = 2 drives work together for speed (here you gain speed) Raid 1 = 2 drives work together to mirror each other (here you get data protection, since one drive is being copied to the other. If one goes out you just put in another drive and go about your business as if nothing happened. No speed gain here) IF by safety you mean data protection then you want raid 1. That is a monster of a system. And lusty red!
DS will probably advise you that the noise suppression stage 2 is not available for the aventum and not needed with lc anyways. You should have it for trick or treat. |
