Hey guys. I was hoping you could tell me more about these new boards coming out. How will they be better than say than the boards that are currently available? Will these boards only impact consumers wanting to use 6 core chipsets, or will they be great for people getting i7 2600K processors too? Will you guys be carrying them? What do you think the price points will be here at DS? I guess I am just looking for a total package of information, sorry. LOL

I am just trying to get as much information as possible because I think I might get my new system on Black Friday, if the deals are good and depending on what kind of sale you guys use here and what is said in this post. I have already decided to buy from you guys, I just want to wait for the right moment to buy. Thanks for the help! Big%20Smile

hey Dutty,
I only know a few answers to your questions. i think theyre coming out in a few weeks, but dont count on that. I do know that when they do become available DS will have them ready to go very quickly. im pretty certain that they will only impact people getting 6 core processors, and support 3 way SLI. This means that you only need to worry about them if you're going to be gaming at a higher resolution than 1900 x 1200. if youre going for 1900x1200 or lowere youre just going to want a 2600k, a HAF X and two 1.5gb 570's. if youre going for a higher resolution, youre going to want one of the new processors and motherboards and ether some 2.5gb 570's or 3gb 580's.

I know thats a lot of information, but if you want to post in the config section we'll help you get a system that's perfect for your needs.

Thanks for the reply there SGW. I probably should have posted this in the config discussion, but I wasn't sure. I thought I would ask here since the boards are not out yet. I saw there are new processors coming out soon too, so now I am even more hesitant to buy now. I know things change all the time, so I should probably just get over it LOL

the new platform has better memory control, can do tri sli correctly and has a new 6 core cpu.

If you don't need the performance of the 6core cpu, and/or the tri ability, then its not gonna offer you much.
