Hey Guys,
I'm pretty new to this custom pc thing. but i have been reading up on your forums. I am looking to build a moderate gaming computer for around $2000 with a single monitor. I stole this build from one of you and it is almost exactly what I came up with on my own. However I would like to know what you guys think of the os and memory boost. Also is the promo bundle (the one with the screen/keyboard/mouse) worth it? Or should i just get that stuff from newegg? Thanks in advance and I am very excited about doing business with digital storm...to think i almost ordered from cyberpower ! check newegg normally price is better there.
that build looks good, you can go with haf 932 to save some money. the rest looks good, but keep in mind with a 750w going sli in the future is not an option. oc on gpu is very mild, you would not notice it. cyberpower you dodged a bullet |

I agree with DST in that the 932 would save some money but it's your call. I noticed you selected blue lighting and the 932 comes with a red front fan that you could ask DS to change to blue.
Maybe DST can chime in as to if the HAF 942 has a red front fan or any colored lighting stock? edit: Just checked and the 942 does come with a stock red front fan that I believe you can have DS change out for an all blue lighted rig. I'm also glad you found Digital Storm before you pulled the trigger at cyber power. Edited by Jayhawk - 07 Jan 2011 at 11:52pm |

Thanks for the quick replies guys! I know lighting is entirely trivial, but I think blue lighting would look pretty cool. Time to cruise over to newegg to check out monitors.

I'm curious: why won't 750W be sufficient for SLI in the future? |

With the oc it does not leave enough head room so you would be pushing it.

hey DST, i was thinking....with the lower power required on the sandy bridge platform for overclock, would an 850W be satisfactory for sli or CF?

850w corsair hx will do just fine. The 850HX has a 7 year warranty.
