Case Lighting: Blizzard Internal Lighting (Blue Edition) (Cold Cathode Tubes)
Round Cables: Enhanced Interior Air Flow (Optical Drive & Floppy Cables (Black Edition) waste of money. but if you like that stuff then go for it
instead of the 80GB 7200RPM HD1, i would go with a raptor 10k RPM

You may want to think about setting up your HDDs on a Raid 0 array. The Raid 0 array will kill the single Raptor drive every time and it's cheaper too. |

go with a 74 raptor / 250 instead of a 80 / 250.
If you don't want the faster raptor, I would suggest just getting a single drive and an external drive. |

everything else looks great, go with the 74GB raptor and that looks like a machine that will handle crysis great.

I don't think the 768mb Ultra's price tag is worth the performance increase over the GTX

Changed to a single 250GB drive because I already own a 750 GB external Western Digital drive. That is A Terrabyte of Data combined.
I have heard rumors that the Litescribe drive doesn't like installing Vista well? Is that true ? Due to that rumor I have two optical drives set up. If it is false then I will just get a single Lightscribe. Edited by Rexxaran - 11 Oct 2007 at 9:40pm |

DS will make sure it will be fine. tell them what you want in your computer and they will make it work... or come up with a solution that will.

What i meant was it doesn't install Vista via the Vista CD well. I don't want to have to deal with issues with Vista installation 1 year from now.

The HDD setup is very similar to what I selected. A Raptor is ideal, but I would stop shy of calling 2 7200RPM drives a waste of money. I personally selected a similar configuration with OS re-installs in mind. Having the OS on a seperate drive makes anual maintenance easier, and while not as fast as a Raptor, should give you faster times to desktop.
As far as the build being able to handle Crysis, I would sure hope so. About the only thing left to upgrade there is a second Ultra. That config is going to kick some serious
