Helloooo fellow high schooler....
- Drop the LED Fans IMHO. No telling what noise level they'll produce, unless you want to take the time to shoot DS a message and ask, haha. They really need to put a CFM and dBa indicator on the configurator. - I'd say pop in a Seagate Momentus XT, so far, it's appeared as a good middle/compromise drive between conventional hard drives and true SSDs. - Swap in a GTX 570 for the 560. Other than that, I would say that looks good. Oh wait, hold on, Crysis Maximum Edition? No Crysis 2? XT's aren't that good? I've read a few articles from Anand, MaxPC, OCClub, most of them are saying that it of course can't touch a true SSD, but does beat out a normal HDD.

Its not worth it, it does not have the important speeds where it counts. for the money, its best saved and spent on a ssd.

Alright, I'll got to the 570; but I I'll also be removing the fan upgrade
I went to gamestop yesterday, literally and checked the price of crysis 2, maybe I'll get it with b day money or something Does anyone know what kind of 570 they use, such as a twin frozer ii or a direct cu? |

after some research, i found the 560 is about the same as the 570 at lower resolutions(mostly due to higher clocks) normally, i like lower resolutions on games (1500 x 1080 or something)
The only reason for me to get the 570 is, how much b-day money i get; not enough for a 570 and i get a 560 enough for a 580, and i get it. It all depends Im getting the x6 sidewinder + r.a.t. 7 for mah b-day =D |

You can request whatever brand you like, they go with a stock card, IMO just get a stock 570 evga, at your res a little more ram of 570 is a bit helpful.

Not sure to be honest you need to find out how much DS charges to change all fans and see which endsup cheaper, keep in mind with the stock one, you have to add the side fan too.

I would not go that route,if you gonna go with a bigger case than the 922, the hafx has better airflow.
trap noise/trap heat. also doing that is very contradictory, the haf has great airflow due to its open design (mess around the case lets the airflow much easier), now you want to take this case and close it all up with noise pads, trapping heat in and making case temps warmer then if you did not have the noise package, and you are blocking the airflow/mesh sections of the case. After using and seeing these noise blocking sets on others pc, I would never recommend them again, 90% of your noise comes from the gpu's fan while under load, and trust me when I tell you nothing will quiet them anyways. on top that you want to get the fan upgrade which is louder then the stock fans, I would rather pay much less and get the stock 200mm side (922) fan or top fan (942) that is $20: haf 200mm non led fan personally instead of spending my good money on noise package which does nothing for me but bring more heat, I would spend my money on things I will notice difference from, like a ssd or 1TB black caviar, there are more important stuff to spend money on than the noise package. BIG STORM ROLLED THRU LAST NIGHT! i was woken up at 2:50 Eastern time and had to stay up (through 3 failed attempts to go back upstairs because of sirens turning back on) till 3:15 on a school morning where i have to get up at 6:55 should i get the fan upgrade or ask for a side fan? should i get black interior or does it look great? Interior color is upto you really.
the 932 comes with all three fan but unlike hafx it does not have a extra spot for another 200mm fan, and it does not have the hotswap bays. sucks about the storm. |
