no they are not stupid questions.

if you like to go with SSD that is ok.

what are you going to be doing that 2 x 280 gtx can't handle?

no need to OC the gpu-s cause they can handle what ever you throw at them as is.

You always match your ram to your fsb, at 1600 you got plenty and that is when ddr3 realy starts to show it self, and make sure you go with OCZ

thats even worst man. you never answered my question, what are you going to be doing that two 280gtx cards can't handle? you know that the 1200w psu is loud right?

2GB of 2000MHz ram can't handle what 4GB of 1600MHz ram does.

why ultimate instead of primium?

In your first pick, you chose a 24 in monitor. Two of those 280gtx cards can easily handle that resolution with aplomb. The choice of 3x SLI is yours of course since it's your money, but unless you go for a bigger monitor with higher resolution you really aren't gaining anything. If you just wanna have money spent on your rig, put that extra money back into the sound card. The ASUS D2X is the best sound. However, if you do first person shooters I'd recommend the Razer Baraccuda. Its sound isn't as top notch, but it's more capable when it comes to giving you the needed directional sound clues.

I am choosing it for its ESA capabilities.

will it last long yes, but I don't think that is the question, the question is, can a system that is for 2000 to 3000 less match your system step for step?

the answer is yes, in short you are wasting money on something you will never know the difference of.

if you like 3 x card go ahead, at the end of the day its a personal choice, but the ram and vista and gpu liqiuid cooling is all a waste of money, in my opinion, uless you are like costone.

If I had an additional $2K-3k to spend on a system that wasn't going to buy me any more performance, I would drop that on a monitor and sound system in a heartbeat. $1000 USD buys a very nice 30" monitor, and another  $1000 will buy one hell of a 7.2 channel  powered speaker set.
 
Now. If I basically had no budget constraints, which is what you're saying (or close enough), my system would look like this:
 
 
Special request: UV cold cathode kit. If I wanted to take that one a step further I would ask for a toggle switch (ON/OFF) to control that lighting to be mounted through one of the empty 3.5" drive bay covers.

now add a 500GB second hdd for yoru media/personal files and keep the SSD only for OS, apps and games.

change that damn vista to premium

and also recommend you raise your warranty to 5 years.
