As the holiday season is coming up, and we are always looking for ways to improve, we are implementing a new system to further reduce issues that customer may experience with a new Digital Storm system.
We want to stand apart from the competition, and show that we care.
We are currently evaluating the use of expanding foam packs inside the computer. Basically every computer system would have this unique and amazing protective system.
We would place a special bag inside the unit, and it would instantly grow up to 20x it's size and cover everything from your video cards, memory, heat sink, etc to ensure that it arrives in tip-top save condition.
Cheers,
Alex CHRIS EDIT: By Popular demand here is the link to the video for the front page. A video of it in action:

That sounds awesome! May also help alleviate weary buyers having to have a new computer shipped across the states.

Well for right now, depending the setup, we put foam blocks, but this takes a lot of time.
This type of innovation will be faster and more effective.
Cheers,

This would be a good idea, but i can see a few things that could be a problem.
If it expands up to 20x its size couldnt it possibly knock Liquid cooling tubes off of their connectors? or the foam could get lodged into heatsinks or fans? |

LOL let them test it and get to know how to use it properly and etc., otherwise your system might take much longer to build, if you know what I mean

it sounds like a good idea, i just dont know if i see it working. knocking out the liquid cooling tubes would be my biggest concern with that. |

Well of course not. Hopefully it works perfectly. Maybe they should invent some easy way to take all of that foam out once its been put in. I can see that being annoying. Or maybe it will just all pull out? Who knows.

Just to clarify:
The foam is an expanding liquid, and it stays in a plastic bag. The bag is stretchable, and is soft as it expands. It would barely move anything inside.
Imagine it as if it's really soft as it expands and takes shape over the smallest things. Then it slowly within 10 minutes hardens to ensure everything is nice and tight.
This isn't going to be a extra service fee, it's going to be a standard for every system, may it be a $500 unit, or a $10,000 unit.
Warm Regards,
Alex

Sounds like it will be pretty good all in all. Alex, maybe you should make a video of it in a system and show how easy it is to get it out.

It comes out very easily. It doesn't get hot either... It's a new type of substance.
I think you guys are also not quite clear. It's not literally foam growing inside the case, it's a bag that inflates inside that has foam that expands and takes shape.
If it was messy, hot, or not user friendly, we obviously would not have used it.
Warm Regards,
Alex
