I got only 33 fps average with my 5870.  Everything was on highest settings and was 1900x1080 resolution. Was my result lower because I was rnning DX 11?

Actually looks like I am not all that far off from some people on this page running their 480's http://www.overclock.net/benchmarking-software-discussion/716993-stone-giant-dx11-demo-benchmark-2.html

Justin I take it you have dof on right?

Hmm looked around on a few forums, and it seems to vary wildly. don't know?

 DOF on

could be a glitch somewhere, sometimes the FPS counter gets messed up, maybe beta drivers cause issue?

Yes it really does vary wildly indeed.  Some people look like they are getting in the 100's fps and others like myself much lower.  When I get to it I will try the new ATI beta drivers, 10.4's.

I have yet to see anyone close to my 266 FPS score. I re-ran it with FRAPS, and FRAPS did not match the FPS on the in game counter? so it does seem glitchy

lol yes your score pretty much kicks everyone else's butts LOLSmile  I haven't seen anyone as high either.

When able I'll re-run it with fraps as well.

EDIT:  according to this I am definitely on par with others http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/286846-33-stone-giant-dx11-demo

It seems with a stock 480 vs the 5870 the 480 getting 10 or more frames per second.  It's hard to tell though because I have the feeling that some people are running low resolutions and DOF off which would up their scores.

looks like that guy from EVGA forums trubritar, with 4 overclocked GTX 480's and a 980x with DOF off, but other wise same settings as me, got close to what I did, maybe if Nvidia will allow penta sli he can match my 3 Smile

@dragonseal  have you tested with the heaven benchmark?  If so what is your results with 1920x1200?
For ston Giant with an ATI 5870 I am @:
Resolution: 1920x1200 Full screen mode
Tessellation: High
Diffusion DoF On: 33 FPS

EDIT: On Unigine Heaven benchmark @ 1920x1080 aa & af maxed (8 & 16) I get 25 fps.
