https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUizUIxNwiw I wouldn't buy an Intel rig until this problem is put to bed. You risk not being able to play through your games. I seems once they hit this glitch, they are lost to you forever. What do you want 64GB of RAM for? In gaming, for many years ahead, 32GB will always be idle. A total waste of money. Get 32GB. The RTX 3090 is designed for professional use like game developers, video producers/editors, work in AI. The 3080 Ti is the top gaming card at $804 less. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-3080-Ti-vs-Nvidia-RTX-3090/4115vs4081 If you are capable of installing some storage yourself, I wouldn't spend over $1000 on a System drive. By the time you fill that up, they will have even better and faster tech. And what happens if the drive fails? Tried and true over all the years is to have multiple smaller drives not only to insure against disaster and save $$, but also to have simpler management. How long does it take to scan a 4TB drive vs 500GB? And if you're not scanning your "C" drive for viruses, malware and other crap on a regular basis, you're asking for trouble. If you want a lot of storage from the get-go, get a 500GB 980 PRO for primary, a 1TB 980 Pro for secondary, and a 2TB 970 EVO PLUS for Storage Set 3. Save over $400 and have it much easier to manage and safer than all in one place. Add SATA drives if you need more at online prices. Put your savings into pretty fans.
******* Latest I have seen is there is a workaround for WIN 11, and there is an update on the way for the gen 12 DRM issue. Stay tuned. DO YOUR OWN DUE DILIGENCE BEFORE YOU SPEND HUNDREDS ON A CPU THAT DOESN"T PLAY NICE. It looks like the problem may be resolved before anyone here could take delivery of a 12th GEN system, but don't rely on what I think. Edited by Cretae - 20 Nov 2021 at 10:23am |
