NEW: Gabbers Portal

You all must of seen the new large banner at the top of the forums. It links to our new portal "Gabbers Portal" which is run by our underground assistant, Gabbers.

Nice, I'm digging it. :)

A few suggestions...

1.  Text block next to the featured item is getting cut off.  Featured image could be less static, maybe a short video similar to what you have on digitalstormonline.com

2.  Should setup a rewrite rule for clean urls.  Would help SEO, and looks better in general.

3.  Offer more pictures with articles.  People like looking at pictures.

4. Use the WordPress "addthis" module so your readers can assist promoting your blog articles and your store front in general across the web with their social platforms.

5.  I'd remove those image links on the right to the forums, youtube, social-networking, etc.  The goal here is to move your content tabs further to the top, and a text link to the forum in the main navigation would be just as effective if not more, as it's the first place a user looks to navigate the site, and most people associate image blocks in a blogging platform as advertisements.  I do agree with keeping a twitter callout pretty blatant somewhere on the page though.  That's good stuff.

5.  Add small footer navigation to primary links and RSS feed.

I like to see the stuff you guys are doing.  Keep it up.

i think gabbers is one of those shady guys that owns a large old van painted black with the lettering "free candy" on the side, if you know what i mean
