Currently going through getting a new game system to replace my current old desktop. My budget is within 3k or below.
Expectation right now is just having a decent system with great performance for FPS titles, RPG, flight sims, MMO, and run 60fps quality video for Twitch streaming. I currently have a ASUS 1080p monitor for my 2nd monitor config, and I plain to replace my main monitor with a ASUS ROG Swift 27' LED with Nvidia G-Sync, 144Hz at 2560 x 1440 resolution. Hi Termx.... That is an excellent build and pretty much right on in my book.
My only suggestion is to change the psu from EVGA B1 to the other EVGA 750 for another $43. Better supply, more efficient and double the warranty, Just an FYI... The Slade 550d is picked either for its looks and no lights through a side window, or for quiet. With the Vortex 240mm rad, it will mount under the top and require the top sound deadening cover to remain off. It does increase airflow in the case, so if quiet isn't a priority I'd keep it. ....or.... The Noctua D15 is top in reliability if you don't mind a large cooler. It's my pick. Just works for years. That brings up another suggestion Replace the DS Vortex 240rad with thr Corsair H100i for Corsair's 5 year warranty. Not sure what the warranty on Vortex is. Might be just the DS 1 or 2 years. If you want to stay with liquid. Hope this helps and stay in touch. Edited by bprat22 - 18 Nov 2015 at 2:29pm |
