Hey,
Currently I am looking into getting a new gaming computer. I currently use a mac book pro that is about 4 years old and its not cutting it. I have been looking around and wondering what the major differences between like an alienware Aurora vs the Ode. I currently only play world of warcraft and may want to venture into other games. I am looking for something that will be upgradable and that will last for a decent time. I believe the max level would go to would be level 3 for the ode but I'm not sure what monitor would be good with that. there is an alienware deal that gives a monitor with the system for about 3000. So i was just wondering about the comparions. Any advice would be appreciated. I wanted to build my own pc but i figured I'd start with something made and then in the future build my own. Thanks for any advice!! |

Welcome, well first thing about Alienware is, they rip you off for around 200 dollars just for there case design and LEDs. I currently have a ODE Level 1 so far it has been great, the ODE's are prebuilt putting a better price on them as well as them being shipped faster.
I would recommend a ODE Level 3. |

ODE is better. Less bloatware, less unnecessarily expensive flashy extras, better customer support base (Customer Support + These Forums).

The pc you buy here you can easily upgrade with retail parts, AW is bs and not really upgradeable.
To be honest you are comparing apples and oranges here, AW is beneath custom builds and DS. CPU is the brain of your pc, its speeds is your pc's speed, what is the cpu speed of AW you looking at and ode? enough said. Edited by DST4ME - 07 Jan 2012 at 12:21am |
