Budget:
[2500-3000]

Expectations:
[Run Max Quality Settings Easily]

Usage:
[Extended MMORPG Gaming]

Special Needs:
[None I guess?]

Saved Ticket #: [None yet]

Specifications:
[I have no idea]

I am looking to build a new Gaming PC that will easily run MMORPGs at max quality settings without lag and without overheating.

I would like to build a PC that will last, I have no idea when I'll be able to build and price out another PC. The last Custom Built PC I bought was sometime around 5-6 years ago.

I am also in the market for a new monitor but I don't know much about resolution or what a computer needs for great resolution. I'm one of those people that just wants my awesome pc to turn on and work when I press the button (lol).

I've had PCs over heat on me in the past and it's always a worry for me. I'm not familiar with how to work on PCs or upgrade them myself, and I know nothing about liquid cooling.

I would love for my PC to have RGB lights and be super shiny and pretty. I won't put fans in myself after I get my build so I would like the option to have all case fans put on for me in the building process. I really just want to get the computer, follow the directions for first turning it on and set up and have everything work amazing out of the box. I don't want to have to do anything else to it to make it work when I get it.

I listed my budget as 2500-3000 but I'd love to stay closer to the 2500 range only going closer to the 3000 range if I have to for the quality that I want. I also love listening to music on my computer so I understand that "on board" sound might not be the best and if I need an additional sound card that's fine too.

Really guys, I'm just lost. I have no idea what to build and I have no idea where to start. I'd appreciate any help you all could give me!

Thanks so much!

Welcome to the Forum Sabatrix!   My advice on monitor is shop elsewhere like amazon or newegg for better prices and wider variety...Choose an IPS quality panel with NVidia G-Sync on board that will work best with your NVidia graphics card from NVidia's own G-Sync tested monitor list....

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs

I think this Lumos build should hit most of your wish list pretty well...GPU selection of the great midrange RTX 2070 could easily be improved by moving up to a higher performing RTX 2080 Super simply by changing the build GPU choice for +$293. I used the RTX 2070 here to hit right inside your budget.

Excellent (Lumos) Corsair Crystal Series 970X Tempered Glass ATX case

Excellent Intel I7-9700K gaming CPU Overclocked Stage 2 for top performance...cooled by a DS no-maintenance 240mm liquid cooler.

Strong ASUS ROG Strix Z390-H full featured ATX motherboard

32GB DDR4 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (you could be fine with just 16 GB but RAM is so inexpensive right now and 32 GB can be very useful to have)

Excellent NVidia RTX 2070 Super GPU...Pairs well with a 1080P or a 1440P/2K resolution monitor. Performance and frame rates should be very good for most major game titles.

Excellent 500 GB Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVME SSD

Ample sized 2TB SATA Storage Drive.

Cool High Performance Corsair LL Series RGB LED Fan Upgrade

Lumos Build 1...Config # 3010824 $3042 minus DS Sale -$300 Off = $2742 with free shipping...a solid rig ready to ship in about 6 weeks...

See what you think...

That's a really great build. Thank you for that!

I saw that you chose an i7 processor. Is that a good one or should I go with an i9? I don't know the difference really.

Is the 850W Power Supply enough to run everything? The liquid cooling looks great since it's good to go and I don't have to do anything to it. I don't know anything about liquid cooling at all. With as powerful as this system looks, is that enough to cool everything down?

What is the difference between an RTX 2070 vs an RTX 2080? Is it worth the price jump?

When it comes to overclocking - again I am clueless. I know the DS will do this for me but I'm worried that I'll have to mess with it somehow at a later date. I won't right?

Thanks so much for taking the time to config a build for me, I really appreciate it. It's gorgeous and what I was looking for.

The i7 9700K is a budget pick. It is every bit as fast as the i9 9900k for gaming. The only thing it lacks is the extra processing threads you don't need for gaming.

The power supply is very strong.

The all-in-one cooler is for the CPU. The GPU has its own fans onboard. The Corsair LL fans cool everything else. There are no cooling worries here.

The difference between a 2070 and a 2080 is a near total waste at 1080p, and not worth the money at 1440p. On the games you like to play, you would never see any difference.

HockeyBuck added a few items you don't absolutely need to get over the $3000 threshold for an extra $100 discount. (You get $300 for a build $3000 plus, $200 for a build $2000-2999.) The Stage 2 overclock, the Samsung 970 EVO PLUS, and the extra 16 GB of RAM are those.

Pick whichever one of those you want, and the extra discount pays for most or all of it. If you changed all three, you could save ~$200 is all, but up to you.

The CPU overclock very rarely has to be attended to. Probably less than 1% of DS customers ever have an issue. If it does, DS will do whatever is needed to help over the phone. They can re-set an overclock remotely. Your tech support is lifetime.

Save $35 right now, and stay above the $3000 plateau. Change the Samsung 970 PLUS to the 970 PRO. Both are excellent. You would never know the difference.

I agree with Cretae, however here is a build that I think it's in your budged range. Build# 2952259

Thank you so much for the replies and the explanations! Stefanbojan that's a nice build too.

I was looking at this monitor, which is probably super bougie and not something I need but man it's gorgeous.

https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/49--chg90-qled-gaming-monitor-lc49hg90dmnxza/

If I got this monitor, the computer builds we're discussing here could absolutely run this right?

Thanks again everyone, you've been more than helpful! I appreciate all of your help so very much! <3

I would again point you back towards monitors from the NVidia tested and approved G-Sync list.   The best color quality models will be IPS technology panels. You can sort the list to look at panel sizes.

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs

Your new NVidia RTX video card has hardware that will work in tandem with a G-Sync hardware equipped display to help eliminate screen tearing and work well with variable refresh rate panels.   An IPS quality 2K/1440P resolution panel from Asus, Dell Alienware, LG would have better color quality and a higher 2K/1440P screen resolution. Then you can shop online for the models you find on the list.

The big Samsung is basically a wide curved screen TV monitor with 3840 X 1080 resolution with a high refresh rate.   It does not have NVidia GSync hardware compatability... It uses AMD FreeSync, intended for use with AMD branded video cards...not NVidia.   In my opinion you can do much much better for gaming quality panels than this Samsung model.

Yes, as suggested by HB, stay with an NVidia G-Sync monitor (and IPS panel). I am running this 1440P Alienware-AW3418DW 34.14",IPS LED UltraWide HD G-SYNC Monitor with an RTX 2070 Super. No stutters at all with max settings in DCS combat flight simulations.

I am also using the i7 9700K.
