New GPU - Total War: Warhammer II shuts down

I hope you can help me.

Background
I recently upgraded my GPU from AMD Radeon 7700 Series to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970. After the upgrade I've encountered a problem playing Total War - Warhammer II.

The problem
When finished loading the campaign map in Warhammer II it exits the game. This happens like 50% of the times. After a battle it might crash aswell when loading the campaign map again. For those of you that haven't played Warhammer, the real GPU usage is not on the campaign map, but when playing battles, so I don't see it as a performance issue.

What I've tried to fix the issue
- Run with both directx 11 and directx 12
- Updated drivers and uninstalled old driver
- Tried running without GeForce experience
- Launched game from both Steam and GeForce experience
- Reinstalled game
- Lowered graphic to minimum (which was what my old GPU could run it on)
- Checked wires
- Tried other games, which so far haven't crashed
- Ran PSU test and it should be sufficient
